About Me:
Marcia Barahona has 20 years of experience as a marketing consultant, executive coach, and corporate executive. She empowers business leaders to excel by fostering growth, clarity, and strategic insight.
Marcia has found success through her marketing initiatives and executive coaching projects in the US and Latin America. Her journey began in bilingual community media, where she spent a decade in radio, television, and print journalism in English and Spanish.
In addition to her work at SBDC Marin, Marcia leads OrangeRio, a cross-cultural marketing agency, and ExecBloom, an executive coaching and team leadership development company. She is also an instructor for the Dominican University of California’s Institute for Leadership Studies’ Executive Education Program.
A dedicated community leader, Marcia chairs the Advisory Board of the Lepage Center for Global Innovation, serves as a Trustee for Dominican University, and has held board roles with nonprofits like Sonoma County Economic Development Board’s Creative Sonoma and the Hispanic Chamber of Sonoma County.
Marcia holds an MBA and a BA from Dominican University of California, a Certificate in Sustainable Business Development from ESCEM Business School in Poitiers, France, and dual certifications in Executive and Leadership Coaching from Symbiosis Coaching.
